About the Influence team

Aims

The Influence Team of the Make Your Mark campaign coordinates policy and research activity on effective ways to fuel enterprise culture in the UK.

We aim to move the enterprise agenda so that all sections of society recognise the significance of enterprise, so that people can fulfil their potential: they are empowered to be enterprising and able to pursue entrepreneurship as a real career choice.

We understand that enterprise is currently seen as a component of wealth creation and economic prosperity and work to widen the definition so that many different. This means ensuring that people have inspiring and practical opportunities and support to make a reality of their ideas - in education, at work, in leisure and within communities.

How we work

We work in partnership with entrepreneurs, government and its agencies, education, business, researchers and think-tanks and representative bodies to develop policies and ideas that help build entrepreneurial and social capital. We also aim to spark dialogue and debate about the key ways to develop and embed an enterprise culture.

Our approaches include:

  • influencing the strategic development of the enterprise agenda through engaging and working with key partners
  • generating evidence to inform the strategic priorities of the campaign
  • identifying emerging policy ideas that will help shift enterprise culture
